In September of 1998, at the age of 22, Thilo Hessler moved from Bavaria, Germany to Raleigh, North Carolina in the United States of America to start a molding business. As every company has experienced, Versatrim had a rocky start, but over the years it grew from only a handful of people to over 150 hardworking employees.

“As a foreigner, I can tell you that Americans are awesome,” says Thilo. “America provides tremendous opportunities. People are entrepreneurial and businesses are open to new ideas, which drives innovation and makes our work very exciting.”

Versatrim is built on many promises which are supported by a wonderful team of dedicated individuals. Thilo started out taking orders by phone, packaging them himself, and then driving them to the local UPS office for delivery. Now the freight companies leave their trailers at our facility to fill them up throughout the day and over 100,000 orders ship from our facility each year.
